1:48 WWII RAAF Twins Pt.4: Wellington, Ventura, Baltimore is a decal sheet from DK Decals with markings for twin-engined aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force during the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The fourth part of the series on twin-engined types of the Royal Australian Air Force covers, according to the name, the Wellington, the Ventura and the Baltimore. The markings are worked up for models in 1:48 scale.
The Vickers Wellington with its geodetic lattice structure was among the mainstays of RAF Bomber Command, and Australian crews flew it above all over Europe and the Mediterranean, where it was also used for patrolling over the sea. The Lockheed Ventura served Australian squadrons in the southwest Pacific as a patrol and attack machine. The Martin Baltimore was an American light bomber supplied to a British order that proved itself mainly in the Mediterranean, where Australian crews used it for daylight attacks and for reconnaissance. The three types thus cover two very different parts of the war: the Mediterranean theater and the Pacific.
For modelers who build the machines of Australian squadrons in the Mediterranean and in the Pacific and want markings beyond what tends to be in the box with a kit.
