Quickboost Yak-1 flaps (1:48): resin flaps for refining the detail of a model of the Soviet Yak-1 fighter. An aftermarket accessory, not a stand-alone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory from the Quickboost (Aires) brand in 1:48 scale holding the flaps for the Yakovlev Yak-1 fighter aircraft. It is not a model of the airplane but a small replacement set that takes the place of flat plastic flaps with precisely cast parts of faithful texture. It makes it possible to show the flaps lowered, the way they often stood on a parked aircraft.
The Yakovlev Yak-1 was a Soviet single-seat fighter of the Second World War and the basis of the whole successful family of Yak fighters. It had a mixed structure with a wooden wing and a V engine. Lowered flaps are among the details that bring a standing model on a diorama to life.
Separate the parts carefully from the casting block, wash them free of mold release residue and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit of the parts against the wing before gluing and sand them down lightly if need be; protect your airways while sanding.
The model of the airplane itself is not included in the package. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included.
