Self-adhesive die-cut masks Eduard 1:48 Yak-3 of kabuki tape for clean masking of the canopy glazing and the wheels of a fighter model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-3 light fighter of the Second World War period in 1:48 scale. The set is made of yellow kabuki tape, which holds reliably on flat and on rounded surfaces and, once the edges are pressed down, leaves a crisp edge to the sprayed paint.
The masks cover the frames of the canopy glazing and the other clear parts, so that the glass stays clean and the color transitions are crisp. Round masks for the wheel hubs and rims are included as well, for an easy separation of the tire from the rim. The laborious cutting of tape with a knife falls away, and so does the risk of scratching the transparent parts.
Lift the individual masks carefully off the backing with pointed tweezers, lay them on the part and press the edges down thoroughly (with a toothpick or a tissue, for instance), so that paint does not run under the edge. Cover the larger areas of glass between the frames with a strip of ordinary tape or with liquid mask. Spray the paint in thin coats and peel the masks off while the sprayed coat is still fresh, as the edges then stay at their crispest.
This is a self-adhesive masking set and not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
