A resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. Cast in finely detailed resin, it refines the vectoring exhaust nozzles of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-38 vertical take-off carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the simplified parts from the box with faithfully rendered nozzles complete with inner structure and the correct shape of the opening. The set is meant for more advanced modelers with experience in resin.
Exhaust nozzles are among the most conspicuous parts of any jet, and on the Yak-38 they underline its unusual vertical take-off layout as well. The casting captures the fine detail of the petals and of the nozzle interiors, which show clearly when the model is viewed from behind. Painted in metallic shades and lightly weathered, they become a striking feature of the finished model. Accurate nozzles also give the tail visual depth and the credibility of scale that a flat plastic part from the box can hardly offer.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
