1:48 Yakovlev Yak-9T is a Big Ed bundle of accessory sets from the Czech firm Eduard, intended for a model of the Soviet Yak-9T fighter in 1:48 scale.

This is not a model of an aircraft but a bundle of accessories. Big Ed brings together in one package several sets that are also sold separately, all of them for one type of aircraft, so the modeler has together everything the brand has issued for the type in question. The exact make-up of the package is given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The Yak-9T belongs among the most distinctive versions of the numerous Soviet Yakovlev Yak-9 family. The letter T stands for anti-tank: the aircraft was given a large-caliber cannon firing through the axis of the propeller, and because of its length the pilot's space had to be shifted to the rear. That changed the silhouette and the distribution of the masses, and the machine gained a characteristic look with the cockpit moved closer to the fin. It was deployed from 1943 and, besides ground targets, it proved its worth against bombers as well, and in numbers it belonged among the most widespread versions of the whole series. For a modeler it is a rewarding subject: the silhouette differs from the ordinary Yaks at first sight.
The accessories from the bundle are fitted into a model you already have and replace or complete the factory parts from the box. Work with them one after another and always try the part dry first, so that you know how much room is left in the structure. It pays to open the instructions for the model and for the accessory side by side and to plan the order of the work in advance: part of the detail will get inside only before the fuselage is closed up.
