Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat trainer and aerobatic aircraft Zlin Z-126 Trener in 1:48 scale. The manufacturer is the Czech company Eduard, which has carried the Trener family in its program for a long time and also offers matching add-ons and masks for it in the same scale. The model is meant to be glued and painted; the contents of the box are given by the manufacturer, so check them before you buy.
The Trener family grew out of postwar development at Otrokovice and for decades it was the basic training machine of the Czechoslovak flying clubs and of military elementary training. The Z-126 is one of the development versions of the family, powered by an inverted inline Walter Minor engine. The layout with fixed landing gear, a two-seat tandem cockpit and good aerobatic behavior gave the aircraft a long career at home and in export, and Trener aircraft are still flying in civilian hands today.
Test fit the parts dry before gluing, above all the join of the fuselage halves and the attachment of the wing: on a small aircraft every deviation shows in the dihedral angle. Use liquid cement for plastic, which creeps into the seam. The cockpit is clearly visible on this type, so it pays to spend time on the interior and the belts. Give the surfaces a gloss coat before the decals, use a decal softener after they are applied and finish with a matte or semi-gloss coat to match the subject. Mask the glazing so that the frames come out sharp.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
