The subject is the Z-526AFS Akrobat, the single-seat aerobatic version of the proven family of Zlin training and sport aircraft. The box contains plastic parts, clear parts for the canopy and a decal sheet; the particular edition and the exact contents differ from one release to another.
The Akrobat was created as a single-seat competition variant derived from the two-seat Zlin machines of the Trener series. Its all-metal structure, cantilever low wing and powerful inline engine made it a popular aerobatic machine in the 1970s, with which pilots collected successes at international competitions.
Join the parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the seams with fine abrasive paper. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush gives an even coat. Glossy racing finishes come out best after polishing and clear coating; lay the decals onto a gloss base and seal them with a matte or satin varnish according to the scheme.
