The subject of the set is the Nissan 180SX, a sporting fastback built on the same technical basis as the Silvia of its day. The name of the item mentions both the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and the driver from the licensed Initial D series under which Fujimi released this car. The kit is made of injection-molded plastic and keeps to the proven 1:24 scale.
The 180SX was sold from the end of the 1980s and was told apart from its sister coupe at a glance by its sloping rear with a third door and by its pop-up headlights. The stronger form was given a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and rear-wheel drive, which made the car another regular guest on Japanese racetracks and at street gatherings. To this day it is one of the types with a firm place among collectors.
The pop-up headlights are the visual axis of the whole car, so take care over their fit and over the cleanliness of the frames. The rear with its large glazing will reward careful gluing, ideally with an adhesive intended for clear parts. Before applying the top shade, check the gaps of the hood and the doors; after painting they are hard to put right.
