An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat training version of the F-15 fighter in the service of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in 1:72 scale from the Japanese maker FineMolds. This maker's line of F-15 models is among the technically very accomplished kits in the scale. The F-15DJ is the two-seat training version of the Japanese Eagle, built under license for the JASDF on the basis of the American F-15 Eagle. It keeps the pair of powerful jet engines and the supersonic flying qualities of a twin-engine air superiority fighter, and the second seat serves for training. Some of the F-15DJ machines fly with an Aggressor unit in striking camouflage schemes that imitate foreign hardware for air combat training.
Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic and sand the fuselage joints carefully. Paint the cockpit and bring out its detail before closing it up; glue the clear canopy with a cement for canopies. Apply a primer before painting and lay the color on with an airbrush. Aggressor machines carry multicolor camouflage in gray and blue-gray shades; after a gloss varnish and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a fine wash and add service wear.
