Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals for modelers who want to build a Messerschmitt Bf 109 G in the service of the Regia Aeronautica. It is the third continuation of a range devoted to the deployment of these machines over Sicily. Exotic Decals issues them and they are cut for 1:48 scale.
The Regia Aeronautica received German fighters of the G series in 1943, when the home types were no longer enough against the Allied formations. The machines served chiefly with the units defending southern Italy and the adjacent islands at the time of the landing on Sicily. The Savoy crosses and the fuselage markings give the well known German aircraft an entirely different face, and that is precisely what makes it a rewarding subject for a display case.
A smooth gloss surface belongs under the motif, as otherwise matte edges appear around the carrier film. A softener proves itself, thanks to which the motif settles into the engraved lines, and so does a final matte coat, which hides the transitions of the film.
A gloss varnish as a base, a softener and a brush with long fine bristles for moving the motif across the surface of the water are useful. Tweezers with flat jaws, which will not pierce the film, also come in handy. None of these aids are included, so count on them separately.
