Responsibility details are not available.
A sizeable injection-molded plastic kit of the twin-engine medium bomber PBJ-1J Mitchell in 1:48 scale from HK Models. PBJ-1J was the designation used by the US Navy and the US Marine Corps for the B-25J Mitchell. The kit is marked by a richly subdivided interior and a modern approach to the tooling; according to the manufacturer it contains special printed (3D) parts for a more accurate shape and metal nose weights. Check the particular package contents and the number of decal schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The B-25 Mitchell was an American twin-engine medium bomber with a pair of vertical tail surfaces and radial engines. Under the naval designation PBJ-1 it was used by the US Marine Corps, above all in the Pacific, for attacks on ships, coastal targets and Japanese positions. The J version was among the most numerous and carried strong defensive and offensive armament; some machines had a glazed nose, others a solid attack nose.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, and align and sand the large fuselage and wing joints carefully. Paint the rich interior and bring it out before closing the fuselage; do not forget the metal weights in the nose, so that the model stands on its nose wheel. Apply a primer before painting and cover with an airbrush. Naval machines carried camouflage in blue-gray naval shades — after a gloss coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add service wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
