Resin wheels with weighted flattening for Bristol Beaufighter models in 1:48 scale from RESArm (version v3).
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin (3D-printed) detail accessory, not a standalone kit. The set contains main wheels with a realistically flattened contact patch on the tire, as though the weight of a standing aircraft rested on them. This under load effect gives a model on the ground the credibility that perfectly round plastic wheels lack. The designation v3 marks a reworked version of the part.
The Bristol Beaufighter is a British twin-engine heavy fighter and attack aircraft of the Second World War. The tires of the main landing gear deform visibly under the mass of the machine, which is a popular detail on static models.
Clean the uncured print resin residue off the wheels, cut them off the print supports and fit them onto the landing gear legs. Take care that the flattening is oriented toward the ground. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
