A cast diorama plate in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel that reproduces fired clay roof tiling in the southern European style, the so-called Italian type II tiles. The surface consists of regularly laid rounded barrel tiles with a realistic relief, suitable for the roofs of buildings, for lean-to shelters and for ruins in Mediterranean scenes.
It is not a kit but a scenic building element. You clad the roof of a house model with the plate, or make the damaged roof of a ruin from it. It is an effective complement to a diorama from an Italian or Mediterranean theater.
Clean the plate, cut the pieces to the size you need and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. The tiles take brick red and ocher shades well, over which you then apply washes into the joints and draw the edges out with a lighter dry brush. Moss and dust pigments will give the tiling its age.
