Exhaust stacks for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E in 1:48 scale from the brand Bitskrieg are a separate replacement part meant to be swapped for the part from the basic kit. Intended for the Eduard kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is neither an aircraft nor a whole kit. It is a single detail: the side exhaust stacks of the engine, which on a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E are swapped for the original molded part. There is a reason for focusing on one assembly: it is the one that is visible from both sides on a finished machine, and it tends to be the weakest spot of the nose.
The Bf 109 E, nicknamed Emil, was powered by a liquid-cooled inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 601. The exhaust gases left through a row of short stacks led out on both sides of the fuselage under the engine cowling, so they lie right in the line of sight toward the nose. In surviving photographs the area around the exhausts is markedly stained by heat and by smoky streaks that the wind drew back along the fuselage.
Cut the original part away, level the surface with a file and set the new one in place only after a dry fit, so that both the angle and the offset from the panel are right. Small parts of this kind are held most reliably by super glue (cyanoacrylate) applied in a really small amount. Start the painting with a dark base, then add rusty and gray tones and pigments at the end; keep the transition into the surrounding paint soft, as a sharp border looks artificial.
The target kit is Eduard, so make sure before ordering that it matches what you are building. In the package you will find only the detail named, not an aircraft.
