1:72 Defiant (For MPM / Special Hobby)

Boulton Paul Defiant – mask 1:72 (Peewit)

This is a self-adhesive masking set from the Czech brand Peewit for a model of the Boulton Paul Defiant fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a model and not a decal – it is a set of masks that cover the glazing while spraying and make a sharp, clean separation of the canopy frames from the transparent areas possible.

The real subject

The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British fighter of the beginning of the Second World War, characterized by a rotating gun turret behind the pilot instead of fixed guns in the wing. It proved itself above all as a night fighter. Accurately sprayed canopy frames markedly improve the overall impression a model makes.

Use

• Transfer the masks onto clean glazing, press the edges down and spray the color of the frames.
• Spraying the interior color first and then the final airframe shade is recommended.
• Take the mask off once the paint is touch dry, for a sharp edge to the frame.
• Intended for models of the British Defiant aircraft.

Who it is for

• Modelers who want sharp canopy frames without a brush in hand.
• Builders of small scales, where masking with tape is demanding.
• Beginners and the advanced alike with the basics of an airbrush.

The mask is an aid to painting; it contains no paints and no model.
