This is a self-adhesive masking set from Peewit for a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in 1:72 scale. The set combines masks for the canopy frames, masks for the wheels (the rims) and flexible plugs for the landing gear bays, which are simply pushed in before the undersides are sprayed and taken out after spraying.

The real subject

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a German fighter of the Second World War, valued for its rugged structure, its powerful radial engine (an inverted V12 on the later versions) and its heavy armament. Clean canopy frames and sharp wheel rims are among the details that lift a model the most.

Use

• Transfer the frame masks onto the glazing and stick the rim masks onto the wheels.
