The A6M5 was a later version of the Japanese Zero carrier fighter, with shortened wings with fixed tips. The qualifier Nakajima in the name tells the rendition of the machine apart by the maker of the airframe, because the type was produced at two works and the individual production runs differed in detail.
Colored elements of the SPACE line for the cockpit of a model in 1:48 scale, carried on a paper backing. They have printed color and raised relief, so that on the model the dials, switches and other small features stand out that could only be painted by hand with difficulty. The listing of the individual elements and the places where they belong is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The elements of the SPACE line have no adhesive layer of their own and the whole part is not immersed in water. Only the backing paper under the element is moistened, for which a damp sponge with a drop of detergent is enough. Then lift the element with pointed tweezers and fix it in place with white PVA glue; the manufacturer does not recommend super glue. Do not use a decal softener, as the chemicals would attack the printed layer. First rid the area the element will lie against of dust and grease and let it dry completely. Lay the element in place and press it down only once the position has been lined up, best of all with a cotton swab. On a broken surface, press the element down gradually from the middle toward the edges, so that it does not lift anywhere. Work with the model set down on a desk, not held in the hand. Fit the cockpit before you close up the fuselage and put the canopy on; later the inside can no longer be reached.
The set suits anyone who wants a cockpit finished quickly and cleanly, without painting small dials. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
