The resin set 1:32 Universal Pilot Heads – with no head gear (12 pcs) from CMK offers twelve different heads without headgear for figures of airmen.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of cast pilots' heads without headgear in 1:32 scale. According to the name there are twelve pieces and each has a face of its own, so none is repeated in the package. That is precisely why it can be used with airmen across periods, from the pioneering days to the jet era. The manufacturer is CMK, a workshop from the Czech Republic specializing in resin accessories for aircraft models.
A pilot figure from the box tends to be the weak spot of an otherwise fine model, especially in a large scale where the face is easy to read. Changing the head is the quickest way to give a character personality and to tell two otherwise identical figures apart. It also suits when you want an airman who has climbed out of the cockpit without a helmet, or a mechanic leaning against a wing.
Shorten the neck so that the head sits naturally and bond the joint with cyanoacrylate. Wash the casting before painting. Build the flesh tone up in layers: a middle tone as the area, a warmer glaze on the cheeks and the nose, a darker one in the eye sockets and under the chin. Do the eyes last and leave them rather half-closed; an open gaze looks staring. The hair gains depth from a dry brush.
The heads are supplied in a raw state; the body of a figure itself is not included.
