1:32 A6M2b Model 21 Zero, die-cut masks for the outer side of the glazing are cut for the Tamiya kit and make painting the long canopy easier.

The die-cut self-adhesive parts follow the frames of the long canopy of the Japanese A6M2b carrier fighter in the large scale and are cut for the Tamiya kit. The single-sided version covers the outer surface of the glass. Sticking the masks on turns the most time-consuming part of the build into a matter of a few minutes.
Japanese naval aviation went into the war in the Pacific with this version. Its recognizable marks are the folding wingtips, which allowed the machine to fit the carrier elevators, the Sakae 12 engine and a range that nobody else offered at the time. It was precisely that reach that surprised its opponents over China and over the Hawaiian Islands and long founded the reputation of this type as unbeatable. For its agility and ceiling, however, the machine paid with thin armor and unprotected tanks.
First rinse the glazing and let it dry thoroughly, so that the film holds. Seal the transition between the mask and the frame with a thin coat of interior color, which will hide any edge that is not quite tight. Then apply the camouflage itself in several passes and from the edge of the mask inward, so that the aerosol is not pushed under it. Finally try polishing the uncovered canopy lightly; the glass gains depth that way.
