1:144 Spitfire Mk.IXc, the closing part with airmen from Czechoslovakia rounds off the range of markings for miniature models of this fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fourth part offers the last group of markings for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc connected with Czechoslovak airmen. The execution matches 1:144 scale, that is the size in which a whole squadron can be lined up on a shelf. The printing is applied to a model once the camouflage is finished.
Most of the men whose machines the range recalls left home as early as the autumn of 1938 or shortly after March 1939. Through Poland and the Balkans they reached France, served with the French Air Force there and after its defeat went on by ship to England. Only there did they become fighter pilots of the Royal Air Force, with everything that went with it, from a new language to different instruments and units of measurement. Many of them did not return home until six years later.
Check that your kit matches the version with the universal wing, because the later version had a different arrangement of armament and bulges. Watch out as well for clipped wings, which some squadrons used for fighting at low altitude and which change the position of the markings near the wingtip. At this scale a small difference shows mainly in the outline rather than in the detail, and it is precisely the outline that decides whether the markings land in the right place.
