A figure of a tank crewman from the Second World War in 1:35 scale, usable with American and French armored vehicles alike. The Ver.1 execution.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure captures a tank crewman from the time of the Second World War in the dress worn by American crews of armored vehicles. The French units that joined the fighting alongside the Allies took over American hardware and gear, so their crews looked very similar. That is exactly why the name gives both sides at once, and one figure will serve a scene with an American and with a French vehicle alike.
It is a figure on its own in 1:35 scale, that is in the size that suits the vast majority of kits of armored hardware. The designation Ver.1 sets the execution apart within the range, and further numbers exist under the same brand. A crew can thus be put together out of several items without two figures repeating. How many parts the figure is made up of and what accessories belong with it are given by the manufacturer.
Wash and degrease the figure before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the surface. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the rest down carefully, so that you do not wipe away the fine modeling of the cloth. It proves worthwhile to spray a base color, to paint the face and the hands on it and only then to settle the uniform. Shadows and transitions on a small area come out better in thin layers than in one thick application. Before gluing, stand the figure dry in the scene, so that the pose suits the vehicle.
For builders of dioramas and for modelers who want to add a crew to a finished vehicle and give it a sense of scale. The subject of the delivery is the figure. A vehicle, paints, glue and a base are not included, unless stated otherwise.
