A crate for bottled beer is one of those things that lie absolutely everywhere in a real setting and are nevertheless missing from a model scene. Standing by the wall of a tavern, loaded on the bed of a wagon or stacked in a yard, it turns an empty area into a place where something is going on. In 1:16 scale these are large elements on which every detail shows, so it pays to give them the same care as the main model.
The set contains beer crates in 1:16 scale. The exact number of pieces, their rendition and any extras are given in the manufacturer's instructions, as is the recommended way of assembly. The accessory is intended for finishing a scene; it is not a vehicle kit or a figure.
First lay the parts on dry in the place they are to go, and only then glue them; choose a suitable glue according to the material of the parts. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the surface. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Apply the base shade in thin layers, so that the edges are not lost. The crates look lively when they get a light highlight on the edges, a dark wash into the joints and fine scuffing in the places where a hand and the edge of a wagon bed would rub them. A few settled stains and dust at the bottom of the stack will do the rest.
This is an accessory for a scene. Paints, glue, tools and other diorama elements are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
