1:48 Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 Blackjack - masks for the display coloring contain three sheets for the black finish of the British demonstration aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
Three sheets of pre-cut masks make it possible to spray the striking scheme of the British demonstration Typhoon known as Blackjack. The pattern stands on a black base, across which the motifs of the national flag run. The set is prepared for the 1:48 Revell kit.
The Royal Air Force presented this finish in the spring of 2021 for the air show season and used it the following year as well. The machine with the fuselage number ZJ914 took off from its home base at Coningsby, where the units of airspace quick-reaction cover are based. The combination of a deep glossy black base and colored stripes is among the most memorable display colorings of the Typhoon of all.
A black base forgives nothing, so careful sanding of the primer and spraying in several fine layers are in order. The colored elements are laid onto perfectly cured black, so that the edge of the mask does not lift the lower layer. It is advisable to let a glossy surface air off for longer before the film is removed and only then to deal with the final varnish. Plan the order of the shades in advance: once the layers overlap, there is no putting it right afterwards.
