A decal sheet for the two-seat Typhoon T.3 in the service of the Royal Air Force, 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Typhoon is a supersonic multirole combat aircraft with a delta wing and forward horizontal surfaces, which in the Royal Air Force forms the backbone of the fighter force. The designation T.3 belongs to the two-seat rendition: the second cockpit is set behind the first and serves for the training and conversion of pilots. The two-seat machines fly in the ordinary colors of their units, so they differ from the single-seat ones mainly in the lengthened cockpit canopy and in different numbers on the fuselage. It is precisely this difference that makes the two-seat version a rewarding subject, because it appears in a modeling display case far less often.
These are decals in 1:72 scale intended for a plastic kit, not the model itself. The coloring, national insignia and lettering on the sheet correspond to machines of the Royal Air Force. The particular number of colorings and their extent are given in the instructions enclosed with the sheet.
Decals hold best on a smooth glossy varnish, so before applying them varnish the model with a glossy clear coat and let it dry properly. Cut the elements out individually close to the outline. After seating and drying, varnish the whole model as needed with a matte or semi-gloss coat, so that the edges of the decals disappear. The procedure for soaking and the use of a softener are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
For builders of contemporary combat aircraft who want to build a two-seat machine in British colors. The model, paints, varnish and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
