Ocean Grey

Lifecolor Ocean Grey, acrylic paint, 22 ml

A British aircraft gray with a hint of blue from the Italian Lifecolor range, in a bottle of twenty-two milliliters. The paint is acrylic, it is thinned with water or with the brand's own thinner and it is applied by brush as well as by airbrush. The shade belongs to the British day fighter scheme, in which together with dark green it made up the upper surfaces of the aircraft.

How to apply the paint

Shake the bottle thoroughly, the pigment settles to the bottom. For a brush the paint is used practically as it is; for an airbrush thin it to the consistency of milk and spray it in thin coats. Before applying decals, go over the surface with a gloss clear coat, because on a matte surface white patches would appear under the film. If you are building a whole scheme, get the shades together, because it is the ratio between them that makes the result, not the accuracy of one of them.
