1:72 F-15DJ Eagle Pacific Skies 2024 is a plastic kit of the two-seat Japanese Eagle in a special commemorative scheme.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded kit with a decal sheet for a machine in the special scheme that Japanese airmen carried in 2024. According to the manufacturer, the package also includes parts for the extended arrestor hook. The parts come from a proven mold of this maker and the finished model measures roughly twenty-seven centimeters along the fuselage.
Japan built the Eagle under license and the two-seat DJ serves as a fully capable combat machine as well as a trainer. The local squadron based at Chitose on Hokkaido is among the mainstays of the northern sector of air defense. In 2024 Japanese airmen took part on such a scale for the first time in a series of international exercises away from home, and one of the machines was given a commemorative finish for the occasion that differs from the usual gray at first glance; that is exactly the one the kit captures.
The cockpit with two seats is the first thing a viewer looks at on this version, so it pays to give time to the instrument panels and the belts. The commemorative scheme stands on crisp transitions, best managed with masking tape and low pressure on the airbrush. Spray a gloss intercoat before the decals, otherwise silvery edges will appear under the large printed areas.
The machine is supplied unassembled and without a finish, and paints and glue are not enclosed.
