One hundred and forty-nine parts, green plastic and new wheel center caps complete with an extra decal: that is how Hasegawa has prepared the two-door hardtop of the fourth generation. The finished car measures around eighteen and a half centimeters and matches the other car sets of this line in size.
The C110 line appeared in September 1972 and went down in memory for an advertising campaign with a young couple, after whom the Japanese still call it Ken-Meri today. The 2000GT version built on an inline six-cylinder engine and offered a sharper character than the basic four-cylinder variants. The pillarless hardtop counts as the finest body guise of the whole generation.
A green casting tempts you to let the plastic show through, but that result always loses out to a proper coat of paint; apply a filler primer and only then the color. The chrome trim along the sills and around the windows is pronounced on this generation, so it is worth getting a thin chrome pen or polished foil. The wheel center caps gain their proper depth after a dark wash. The protective trim on the flanks deserves masking of its own, and a decal is only a makeshift here.
To finish it you will need paints of your own and cement for polystyrene.
