This injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese brand Hasegawa in 1:35 scale captures the modern Hitachi Zaxis 135US hydraulic tracked excavator in the version with cutter heads for demolition work. The set offers a variant with a rotary cutter as well as with a conventional bucket and contains fine 3D-printed parts for the cutter head.
The Hitachi Zaxis 135US is one of the compact tracked excavators with what is known as an ultra-short tail swing, thanks to which the machine turns easily in cramped spaces and in urban development. The version with cutter heads is intended for demolition and for industrial dismantling of structures.
Glue the parts with thin plastic cement, and assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks before the lower structure is closed up. The character of a working machine is underlined by washes and pigments for mud and dust effects. Clean the 3D-printed parts and remove the supports before gluing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
