1:48 Uscha Kurt Sowa Tiger 222 Crew Normandy 1944 No.1 - WSS is a resin figure of the commander of a Tiger tank, to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The first figure of the crew line captures a non-commissioned officer identified by the name Kurt Sowa, standing upright and looking ahead. The manufacturer stresses its faithful rendering of the blouse, the trousers and the belt equipment of the Waffen-SS tank units, including the position of the pistol holster. The figure is produced by 3D printing from resin and is supplied unpainted.
The tactical number 222 belonged to a Tiger I heavy tank of the Waffen-SS heavy tank battalion No. 101, which in June 1944 went into action in the area of Villers-Bocage. The first digit marked the company, the second the platoon and the third the position of the vehicle within it. The fifty-seven-ton machine moved only with difficulty along the narrow lanes between banks and hedgerows, and because of Allied aircraft the crews moved mainly at night; wear and the shortage of spare parts took more vehicles from the battalion than direct combat did.
Never paint the Panzer uniform in pure black. Make the base from a very dark gray, add a bluish tone to the shadows and lighten the edges with an ash tone; only then does the impression of cloth arise instead of a silhouette. Keep the accessories contrasting and build the face on warmer shades, so that it stands out against the dark clothing.
The manufacturer does not supply glue or paints.
