The Ovals 1.8 mm x 1 mm - 2.8 mm x 3.6 mm, step 0.2 mm masking sheet from SX-Art brings a series of self-adhesive ovals graded in steps of two tenths of a millimeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet holds self-adhesive ovals graded in steps of two tenths of a millimeter, with the extreme dimensions 1.8 x 1 mm and 2.8 x 3.6 mm. Like the other shape sheets of this brand it does not belong to a particular subject but serves as a store of precise shapes for whatever you happen to be building.
A circular element seen at an angle optically turns into an ellipse, so on a sloping surface or on a rounded fuselage a cut-out circle looks wrong. An ellipse also suits places where the shape is oval in itself: elliptical windows, elongated bulges, teardrop-shaped covers or the elongated dots in camouflage patterns. Cutting a precise ellipse by hand with a scalpel is at the same time far harder than cutting a circle.
Spray the lighter tone first, lay the oval on the dried layer and only then spray the darker color over it. The reverse procedure calls for more covering layers and the edge tends to be thicker. If you want a soft transition, pack the mask up with a thin strip of paper, so that it lifts imperceptibly off the surface. After removing it, let the area rest and polish any ridge on the edge down.
The sheet of masks alone is sold; paints and thinners are not part of the delivery.
