A single figure from the SX-Art brand. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, so the finished result depends on the modeler. In 1:35 scale an adult figure stands roughly five centimeters tall, so it fits the usual kits of military equipment and also a small scene on a base of its own.
A scene with equipment only comes alive once a person and their task are visible in it. A doctor brings a story into a diorama that need not be a fighting one: treatment after an accident, the evacuation of a casualty, the work of a dressing station behind the line. At the same time the figure gives the viewer a scale, because everyone immediately gauges the size of the vehicle beside it from the height of the figure.
Before painting, wash the part in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let it dry out thoroughly, otherwise the base coat will peel off in places. Super glue holds reliably on accessories of this kind. Build the skin up from a darker base toward lighter tones and fine-tune the finest transitions with an almost dry brush. In 1:35 it is enough to suggest the eyes; a fully worked pupil looks unnatural on an area that small. Choose a smaller base if anything, otherwise a small figure gets lost in an empty expanse.
