Responsibility details are not available.
A group from the line of rural subjects of the SX-Art brand. Besides the human figure it holds animals, which is fairly rare in a large modeling scale: the greater part of the range aims at soldiers, not at farming.
A flock on the road is one of the oldest ways of giving a scene tension without a single shot. The column has to stop, the shepherd is looking somewhere other than the crew, and the size of the whole scene is suddenly set by an animal and not by armor. The item follows on from further scenes of the same line, among them a farmwoman with geese, so a larger whole can be put together out of them.
The fleece looks best when a thin dark coat is applied over a light base and the excess is drawn off with a brush almost free of paint; the wool thereby gains a depth that full coverage will not give. Set the figure and the animals into the terrain so that their feet touch the ground across their whole area, otherwise the scene looks as if it were floating. Cover the gap around the hooves with grass or dust. Leave the animals matte; the slightest sheen on a coat gives away at once that it is paint and not wool.
The exact number of pieces is not stated by the manufacturer in the designation; the item is unpainted.
