A naval fusilier in equipment of British cut, the figure Commando Kieffer - Soldier 6 in 1:35 scale from the BlackSnake Model brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sixth position of the line captures a fusilier, that is an infantryman with a rifle. The BlackSnake Model brand is based in France and keeps the Commando Kieffer line as one of its main ones; every figure is produced by three-dimensional printing and supplied as a set of parts.
The British commandos earned the green beret as a badge of their training, and Kieffer's men were especially proud of it. On the beaches, nonetheless, most units landed in a steel helmet, because fragments were flying over the shore. In dioramas a beret therefore marks the moment after the fight for the beach rather than its course. Anyone building a scene should take that difference seriously, because it tends to be the first thing a knowledgeable viewer notices. Period photographs from the beach show both.
The weak spots of a figure take more when you let them cool thoroughly before sanding; heat softens the material. In terms of color it works well to lay the uniform into a green-brown and to keep the vehicle or the terrain around it in a different shade, so that the figure does not merge with the background. Bring the metal parts out with a graphite lead, not with silver paint. Silver tends to be too conspicuous on small areas.
This is one figure with no paint applied. Paints and a base are sold separately.
