A figure of an operator of the Ukrainian Omega special operations unit in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Omega is a special operations unit of the Ukrainian National Guard, that is a formation trained for tasks that are dealt with in a small group and quickly. A modern operator differs from a soldier of older wars mainly in that he puts his equipment together to suit the task rather than a regulation, and the camouflage pattern changes with the season and with the battlefield. For a modeler it is a rewarding subject: a present-day figure gives a scene its period at first glance, and yet two figures side by side never resemble one another.
The figure in 1:35 scale captures one operator. The line holds two items with exactly the same name, so compare the contents of the package. The figure can be set up on a base on its own, or worked into a scene with a vehicle, where it finally gains scale and a story.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remnant down carefully, so that the detail of the equipment is kept. Wash and degrease the figure before painting, and choose the glue according to the material of the parts. Restraint suits a modern figure: a base in a muted tone, the camouflage pattern with a thin brush and only slight lightening of the edges. Overdone contrast in the pattern visually breaks a small figure up. At the end it pays to even the surface out with a matte varnish, so that the equipment does not catch the light differently from the suit.
For modelers who build present-day scenes and for collectors of figures of modern units. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
