The figure represents a member of the American unit that ran covert operations in Vietnam. It came about at the French brand BlackSnake Model, which models and prints its sets in France itself. The casting is produced by high-resolution printing from resin, and in the package you will find one figure, unassembled and with no paint.
The cover designation Studies and Observations Group was meant to hide the real nature of the work: the command was set up on January 24, 1964 and until 1972 it ran deep expeditions beyond the borders of South Vietnam. Small groups went out into areas where, according to the official maps, there were no American units at all, and their task was to look, to listen and to come back with a report.
Remove the supports left by printing with a scalpel close to the part and level the remnant with a fine sanding file; sanding resin dry raises dust, so it pays to wet it with water. Glue the parts with super glue and prime the whole thing, because only then does the real sharpness of the detail show. Build the face and the hands up with glazes; muted shades on the equipment keep the figure looking believable at a small scale.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted; paints and glue are not in the package.
