A standalone resin figure from the production of the French brand BlackSnake Model. It captures an infantryman of today's French army and came into being by printing at high resolution, so the folds of the cloth, the straps and the small buckles hold sharp edges. The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The French army moved to a fully professional model at the turn of the millennium, when compulsory military service ended. Since then the infantry has served above all on foreign missions, and its appearance is determined by the combination of a ballistic vest, a helmet with mounts for night vision and modular pouches. It is precisely this present-day appearance that the figure carries, so it belongs in scenes from the last two decades, not alongside equipment of the 1940s.
Cut the supports left after printing off with a sharp scalpel right at the surface and sand the remnants down wet, as resin dust is not to be inhaled. Before painting, wash the whole part in warm water with a drop of detergent and let it dry out thoroughly. A layer of filler primer holds on resin far more willingly than paint applied straight onto a smooth surface.
The figure is intended to be assembled and painted. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package.
