A figure of a French signaler in 1:35 scale. According to the designation this is a radio operator.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents a French soldier, with the designation in the product name pointing at the signals service, that is at a radio operator. A signaler is a rewarding subject for a diorama: he keeps close to the commander or to a vehicle, his hands are busy with a handset and a microphone, and he gives a scene the action that hardware on its own cannot carry. The number in the name distinguishes individual items within the range of French soldiers. The particular type of radio set, the unit and the period are not settled by the name.
The package holds one figure of a French soldier in 1:35 scale. A standing adult figure corresponds to roughly five centimeters in this scale, so the figure matches models of military vehicles in the same scale in size. How many parts it is made up of and how the equipment is fitted is given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder off carefully, so that the engraving of the folds of the uniform and of the straps is kept. Wash and degrease the figure before painting, as paint does not hold on a greasy surface. Paint the face and the hands before you settle the figure into a scene, and small pieces of equipment are easier to paint separately and fit at the end. Choose the kind of glue according to the material of the figure and the procedure according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The figure is for modelers who want to show the work of a crew and a staff beside a model vehicle or in a scene, not just the machine itself. It comes into its own beside a command vehicle, at a post and on its own in a display case. Paints and glue are not included in the box, unless stated otherwise.
