1:35 French Soldier 14 (Lanceur Eryx) depicts a soldier with the launcher of the Eryx anti-tank missile.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fourteenth number of the French collection carries the launcher in its name, that is the part of the system the gunner raises to his shoulder. The figure is printed from resin and is offered with no surface finish.
A short-range anti-tank weapon is deployed from a place chosen in advance with a view of the area where equipment is expected to pass. After the shot the gunner has to keep the target in the aim until the hit, so he stays exposed for several long seconds, and he changes position immediately after firing. Because the system can be launched from inside a room as well, this kind of weapon is linked above all with fighting in built-up areas and between buildings. In a scene that means a window, a ruin or the corner of a wall, not an open plain.
A figure raising something to its shoulder has its center of gravity high up, so fasten it with a wire pin through the foot into the base. The launch tube leads the viewer's eye, so aim it at what the scene is meant to tell. Distinguish the matte surface of the weapon from the cloth with a fine grain, which arises from adding a drop of flattening agent to the paint.
The assembly and the coat of paint are fully up to the modeler; the package does not contain these materials.
