A set of figures of French soldiers in 1:35 scale with the subject of a mortar crew. It will complete a diorama and a model of equipment of the same scale alike.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set joins French soldiers into one package and its subject is a mortar. A mortar is an infantry weapon with a steep trajectory of fire which is served by several men at once: one aims the weapon, another drops the round into the barrel and a further one hands up the ammunition. That is precisely why a mortar crew makes sense in a scene as a group, not as a single figure. The name does not state the unit or the period the soldiers belong to.
The package contains figures of French soldiers in 1:35 scale. A standing adult figure corresponds to roughly five centimeters in this scale, so the figures fit in size with models of military equipment and with buildings of the same scale. The exact number of figures, their stances and how many parts they consist of is stated in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remnant down carefully, so that the engraving of the folds of the clothing and of the equipment is preserved. Wash and degrease the figures before painting. With a group it pays off to unify the shade of the uniform on all the figures at once and only then to deal with the faces and the small details, otherwise the figures will look as if they came from different sets when placed next to one another. Choose the kind of glue according to the material of the figures and the procedure according to the manufacturer's instructions.
The set is for modelers who are building an infantry diorama and need a group with a clear activity in it, not just standing figures. It comes in for completing a scene around a model of a vehicle as well. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
