1:72 GAZ AAA With 25mm 72-K AA Gun is a kit of the Soviet three-axle truck with an anti-aircraft gun in 25 mm caliber from the UM brand.

The UM brand has joined two Soviet icons into one set: a light three-axle truck and the automatic anti-aircraft gun which was commonly mounted on its cargo bed during the war. The result is a rewarding item for a collection of rear-area equipment, the sort that is to be seen at exhibitions far less often than tanks.
The GAZ-AAA was a three-axle adaptation of a licensed vehicle derived from the American Ford type. A load capacity of around a ton and a half and decent cross-country ability made it the most widespread chassis for the most varied bodies, from workshop vehicles to weapon carriers. The automatic gun in 25 mm caliber, designated 72-K and introduced in 1940, complemented the heavier anti-aircraft weapons at low altitudes and protected marching columns against attacks from a low level. The combination of the two machines was inexpensive, mobile and easy to use in the field.
Spray the cab and the cargo bed before you seat the weapon, otherwise the lower surfaces are hard to reach. Soviet green comes across more convincingly when you lighten it on the hood and on the roof of the cab. Bring the wooden parts of the cargo bed to life with thin washes in a brown shade led along the length of the planks. Be sparing with the mud and keep it to the wheels and the wheel arches.
The set is intended to be glued together and sprayed; it contains neither chemicals nor tools.
