An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary sports coupe Audi Quattro in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya. It is a proven mold (a reissue with updated decals and instructions) that faithfully captures the characteristic angular body with its flared fenders. The model offers a detailed engine bay and interior. Check the exact contents of the box against the enclosed instructions.
The Audi Quattro of the early 1980s changed the automotive world fundamentally by being the first to put permanent all-wheel drive into mass production on a powerful road car. It is driven by a turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine of roughly 2.1 liters with a characteristic sound. Thanks to the traction of four driven wheels the Audi Quattro also dominated rallying and became an icon of Group B, where it rewrote the rules about what a fast competition car should look like. The model captures the road coupe with the typical wide fenders and spoilers that make it an easily recognizable legend.
Smooth the body and spray it with an airbrush; the angular shapes make masking the individual surfaces easier. Complete the interior with its characteristic upholstery using the enclosed decals of the seat patterns, which take the place of demanding hand painting. Assemble and paint the engine and the chassis before you close the body, and finish the small chrome and metal details with a brush. Glue the glazing with a cement meant for canopies so that the plastic does not cloud, and pick out the trim around the windows with a fine brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
