A5M Claude seat 1:32 (Art Scale)

This is a 3D-printed resin detail set, not an airplane model. It replaces the pilot seat in the cockpit of the Japanese prewar Mitsubishi A5M fighter, Allied reporting name Claude, with a more faithful version without the hand starting handle. The fine 3D printing captures detail that injection-molded plastic cannot.

What the set contains

A 3D-printed seat with embossing and frame detail. The part is thin-walled and fine, carried on supports after printing.

Usage tips

  • Separate the seat from the print supports and clean it up.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Paint it and add the seat belts before gluing it into the cockpit.
  • Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
