An aviation calendar for the wall for 2026 from the publisher In the sky. It is neither a publication to read nor a modeling aid, but a calendar intended for hanging whose main content is aviation photography. It comes out in an annual series which the publisher prepares regularly, and a smaller desk version tends to be available alongside it.
Photographs of aircraft stand up to a large format better than most other subjects. A machine against the light, an approach to landing or a view on the apron fill the area of the sheet, and at every further look something new can be discovered on it: the color scheme, the national insignia, the shape of the flaps and slats. A modeler moreover reads references for his own work in them, because he sees what faded paint looks like, where the dirt holds and how the shadow falls on a fuselage.
Above the workbench in the workshop, in an office, in a hallway by the entrance, in short everywhere you want an overview of the days at hand and at the same time something worth watching. Toward the end of the year it tends to be a rewarding gift for pilots, aviation enthusiasts and for anyone who likes looking up.
