The light motif, fifteen centimeters wide, is the opposite of the black version: it shows in full where the surface is dark. Typically that means tinted glass, the dark paint of a car, a black sheet-metal cabinet or the dark top of a desk. The outline is cut as a single piece, so it is not lost even when seen from a greater distance.
The Warhawk in its E version was given six guns in the wing in place of the earlier mixed armament and became the most widespread form of the whole P-40 family in 1942. The Allison engine without a two-stage supercharger confined it to work at lower altitudes, so the type proved itself above all as a fighter-bomber and a machine for supporting ground forces – over North Africa, over New Guinea and on the Eastern Front, where a number of examples arrived under deliveries to the Allies. Pilots were well served by the sturdy airframe, which stood a hard landing on a field airfield.
Choose a flat surface with no scratches, wipe it with spirit and wait for it to evaporate. Place the sticker dry first and check the position, and only then press it down. A light motif is more sensitive to dirt under the film, so it pays to work in a dust-free place and to press with a squeegee or the edge of a plastic card.
