What is in the section
This is everything outside the build itself: clothing, stickers, transport solutions and bench extras. What they share is the modelling theme, which makes them work as a present for someone who already owns tools and paint and is difficult to buy for.
The second common use is identification. At club events and competitions the same shirts and stickers mark a team, a table or a transport box, so nothing gets mixed up during loading.
The individual groups
Clothing
T-shirts and sweatshirts come in several sizes, from S to 4XL, and printed face masks in camouflage patterns belong to the same group, as do bracelets. An apron earns its place when working with paint and filler, because it catches overspray and lets you step away from the table without changing. With clothing, always check the size against the chart, since cuts differ.
Aircraft silhouette stickers
Most stickers are roughly fifteen centimetres across and carry the outlines of particular aircraft types in white or black, with individual subjects printed at twenty centimetres. They go on a window, a toolbox or the boxes your unfinished aircraft model kits are stored in. Choose the colour for the background: white reads on dark, black on light.
Transport and storage
A case with pick-and-pluck foam and cloth rolls keep paints and brushes where you put them on the way to a competition. The foam insert divides into cubes, so one case adapts as the contents of the bench change.
A present for a modeller
When you do not want to risk picking a specific kit or a specific shade, these small items are the safe route — with a modeller you do not know well, it is easy to miss both the scale and the period they build. Modelling literature works for the same reason, as does basic bench equipment such as a tool set.
Things to think about
Apply a sticker to a smooth, degreased surface, or it will lift at the corners within days. For a beginner a starter set with paints is usually a better present, because the model and the colours arrive together. For labelling models, boxes and storage crates, markers do the job.
Choose an apron on the long side if you paint sitting down; a short cut leaves your knees unprotected. There is little to get wrong in this section, since you are choosing by theme and by size. More unconventional items are in other modelling products.
