Co-driver from the second series of LRDG figures in 1:35 scale. A resin casting for British desert patrol vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
Another figure in the line devoted to the British Long Range Desert Group, this time from the second series. The resin casting in 1:35 scale is meant for the seat next to the driver, and it differs from the identically designated figure of the first series in both pose and kit.
The long range patrol trucks were not armored, and their defense lay in firepower together with the ability to disappear. On their mounts they carried paired aircraft machine guns with a high rate of fire, a heavier machine gun at the rear and an anti-tank rifle; some vehicles even had a dismounted cannon fitted on the cargo bed. The man in the seat next to the driver had his weapon within reach and was the first to fire if the patrol was ambushed.
The hands and head are usually cast separately; try dry the angle at which they will look natural. On the hands do not underestimate the darker line between the fingers, because without it they merge into one slab. Apply the dusty film on the fabric only at the very end, otherwise you will cover over all the shadows you built up earlier.
The light scarf wound around the neck tends to be the most conspicuous element of the whole figure, so give it a clean tone.
The item consists of one unpainted figure; the package contains nothing else.
