1:56 Pz. Kpfw. III Ausf. J/L/M/N is a small plastic kit of the German medium tank from Italeri, built for tabletop battles as well as for a display case.

Italeri keeps to 1:56 scale in its wargaming range, that is, the size corresponding to figures roughly twenty-eight millimeters tall. The finished tank measures around twelve centimeters, it builds quickly and according to the manufacturer there is also one figure and a sheet of decals with markings for four variants in the box. From one set you will choose the Ausf. J, L, M or N execution.
The Panzerkampfwagen III came about in the second half of the 1930s as the backbone of the German tank formations and in the first years of the war it really did fill that role. The J and L versions carried a 50 mm gun with a lengthened barrel, while the N execution was given a short 75 mm gun for infantry support. The machine fought in France, in the Balkans, in North Africa and on the eastern front, and its chassis served further types.
A smaller scale forgives small inaccuracies but on the other hand punishes thick layers of paint; spray thinly, so that the rivets and meshes are not lost. Bring a base in a dark yellow tone to life with a drybrush and fine accenting of the edges. If the tank is headed for the gaming table, add a matte protective varnish at the end that will stand frequent handling.
The tank is sold taken apart on sprues and without paint; the assembly, the coat and the decals are up to you.
