Water-slide decals for the British Avro Lancaster B Mk. I heavy bomber in 1:72 scale with the markings of Polish crews.
Responsibility details are not available.
The printed Avro Lancaster B Mk. I sheet brings national insignia, code letters and service lettering for the British four-engine bomber in the small scale. The machines of No. 300 Squadron carried the pair of letters BH on the fuselage, completed by the individual letter of the aircraft. The printing comes from the Polish brand Techmod.
The Lancaster grew out of the unsuccessful twin-engine Avro Manchester. The B Mk.I rendition had four Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engines and a bomb bay longer than nine meters, which made it the only Allied aircraft able to carry the heaviest British bombs. The roomy bomb bay together with a decent range made it the backbone of Bomber Command's night campaign. The crew was seven men and the defense was provided by three gun turrets.
Tiny motifs in 1:72 fly away easily, so tweezers with ground tips and transfer onto a surface moistened beforehand come in handy. The carrier film is thin, so once dry it practically disappears. Draw the excess water off with a cotton swab working away from the center, and only then deal with settling it across engraved lines.
The package holds only the printed sheet. Do not look in it for a kit, glue or clear coats.
