The real subject

The MiG-21bis closes the long development line of the Soviet single-engine fighter with a delta wing. It is the last large-production version, into which the experience of the earlier modifications was carried: a more powerful engine, added avionics and a spine cover which returned to a more restrained shape than on the previous version with its enlarged fuel tank. Machines of this version remained in service with a number of operators long after production ended and are among the most widespread forms of the whole family.

What is in the box

OVERTREES means the plastic sprues from the kit alone, without anything else. Decals, photo-etched parts, masks and instructions are not enclosed. Such a package makes sense when you already know the corresponding kit and want to build another machine, for example from decals you have left over or from a sheet obtained separately.

Building and painting tips

Have the documentation for the corresponding kit ready, because you will not find instructions in the package. Cut the parts off a little away from the gate and sand the remainder, so that the fine surface detail is not damaged. Wash and degrease the plastic before painting. With metallic and light shades it pays to give the joints time, because a glossy surface gives away every irregularity.

It will be reached for by modelers who build MiGs in larger numbers, who have their own stock of markings or who want to try modifications on another example.
