Plastic sprues for the kit of the Mirage IIIC/CJ fighter in 1:48 scale from the OVERTREES line. The package is an accessory to a complete kit and holds no decals, photo-etched parts, masks or instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mirage IIIC is the first production fighter version of the French supersonic aircraft with its striking delta wing and with no horizontal tail surfaces. That arrangement gave the machine a characteristic silhouette which even someone who takes only a passing interest in aviation will recognize. The CJ designation belongs to the export build delivered to Israel, which became one of the best-known operators of the type.
Under this designation the plastic sprues from the kit are sold on their own. There are no decals, photo-etched parts, masks or instructions in the package, because it assumes that you know the corresponding kit. It suits you when you want to build another example from the same mold, when you have your own decals or when you are planning a modification and do not want to use a complete box for it.
Have the documentation for the corresponding kit ready beforehand; you will not find it in the package. Cut the parts off a little away from the gate, sand the remainder and wash and degrease the plastic before painting. The large areas of the delta wing have nowhere to hide an irregularity, so give the joints and the sanding calm and time; sharp transitions between shades are easier to spray through a mask.
The package is aimed at modelers who want to build several machines of the same type in different markings or who leave themselves room for conversions. The contents are plastic sprues only; decals, photo-etched parts, masks, instructions, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
